Trex from Texas Outdoor Shades is thrilled for the International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE) 2025 in West Palm Beach, Florida, from April 14–16. He’s eager to explore new fabrics for exterior outdoor shades, hoping to find UV-resistant, durable materials to enhance their motorized shade line. Trex books a last-minute flight from Houston (IAH) to Palm Beach (PBI), a 2.5-hour trip costing $320 round-trip, but he’s stuck in a middle seat (row 25, seat B) with no affordable upgrades. Despite the seating hassle, Trex can’t wait to discover innovative fabrics and network at IWCE. However, he’s struggling to contain his anger over recent vendor price hikes—some up by 15–20%—due to tariffs on imported materials like shade fabrics and components
